(3) In your opinion, are the Orchidaceae, which as we know make up the most successful of all botanic Orders if we judge such things by the number of genera and species, newcomers evolutionarily speaking or old? (I know the Protaceae are considered newcomers.)
What a very awesome beard! I hope mine eventually looks half as good. When I first saw your thunbnail pic with my aging eyes, I thought you looked like a Cardinal in the church in that magenta shirt and ample facial hair. LOL
