Lot's and evolving.

Folk; go to a folk night in a pub near to where Ilive, it's amazing, and opened my ears to a new world.

Classical and opera: again new. A friend of mine has been taking me to Covent Garden. It's been an education, though our tastes are different.

I suppose I am very much a child of the 80's, especially stuff from the 4AD label like Cocteau Twins, The Pixies and Ultra Vivid Scene. Plus Felt, The Cure (to a point) and Bauhaus.

I hated Radiohead at the time of 'Creep', since 'Kid A' I think they are genius.

Patti Smith, Fleetwood Mac, 10cc, Anthony and the Johnsons, Arthur Russell, Fairport Convention and Sandy Denny, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Joan as Policewoman, Tom Waits, Goldfrapp, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Hot Chip, John Cage, Brian Eno, Kate Bush, Coil, Stereolab, My Bloody Valentine, Amanda Lear you get the picture

I don't get to see much cinema, it is so hard to get to see anything decent here in the sticks. There is a great little indie cinema here, but you wait a long time before they manage to get the new releases. Really want to see Harvey Milk; I don't think it even came to Brighton.

The Exorcist, Women in revolt, Paris is burning, Broken Flowers (in fact any Jim Jarmusch film) The Killing of sister George (from the time british cinema was about more than happy posh idiots or maudlin working class people) Mulholland Drive (amazing all time favourite) Brokeback Mountain, Silence of the lambs, Michael Clayton, most Ken Russell from the 70's.

Shamefully not reading much fiction at the moment. Looking at a lot of picture books.

Like George Eliot, Gore Vidal, DH Lawrence, Joan Didion, Virginia Woolf (but more for the diaries, she lived close to where I grew up) Jack Kerouac, Peter Ackroyd.

Big fan of JG Ballard.

Making art, looking at it, running, walking, cooking, gardening.

I have a dog, is that a hobbie?

I also have a developing interest in the 'spiritual', though some may call it getting older and hedging your bets.

I follow current events and politics, though long gave up on party politics.

I am a fan of proper pubs, and like to visit them as often as possible.

I live on the south coast of England. I have a partner named David whom I met at college 15 years ago.

I was born in the midlands, but grew up in a small farming hamlet near the south downs. I left home as a teenager and lived in Brighton, Manchester, rural Lancashire and London, before settling here.

I studied art at Goldsmiths and St.Martins in London, and take part in group shows now and again.

I have had a full beard pretty much most of the time for the last nine years. This winter I plan to let it become very thick; it wont grow long, only bushier.

I have a wide circle of friends who live all over the place.

I hope to get some pictures on here soon that don't look as if they are off a CCTV camera. Come and say hello.

Happy Birthday! Hope it's a good one for you!

Thank you! In bed with flu though. I'm never ill really, so I can't  grumble, just happens to be on my birthday. At least I'm having time to relax  little.

Sorry to hear your sick on your birthday, but you've found that silver lining! (rest and relaxation to a degree) :D Hope you feel better soon!

Hello Chris!

As far as I know, you do not have to pay to use the chat or forums...you pay to be able to customize your page..that's the main thing paying the $10 does for you, that I remember...now I could be wrong and it surely wouldnt' be the first time... :)

have a nice night!
