I love 80's music, some classical, easy listening/adult contemporary.

Since I see maybe one a year, I don't have much to offer here. I do like the Harry Potter series.

It seems that movies are literally thrown out by the truckloads these days and basically I get too overwhelmed by it all to even pick one to see.

My favorite genre of movies are Sci-Fi, good comedies, and animated films.

Do magazines count?

Well, I love working around my house. I suppose that is my biggest and most expensive hobby. I like anything connected to the Titanic. I saw the movie "A Night to Remember" and was hooked on anything surrounding that fantastic liner. BTW, I did read the book too - 3 times.

Where do I begin? It's always hard to talk about yourself. Obviously I am a beard fan. Have been since the tender age of 5. Do any of you remember the TV show "The Real McCoys"? Well, I was 5, watching a rerun episode and in this particular one Luke McCoy had grown a beard!! I was mezmerized by it. I guess at that point I had never realized that men could grow beards. No one in my family had one. Of course the show ended with his wife demanding he shave it off, and of course he did. I was heartbroken. From then on I became more aware of beards and made up my mind I wanted one for myself.

Of course I still had 12 years to go before I grew my first one. In the meantime I bought a fake one to wear for Halloween. It was a long thick one and I loved wearing it. I guess that is what led me on my journey to the big beard I wear now. Having this beard is interesting. For the most part I get positive comments, but mainly from family I get the negative ones. And they seem to never stop. You would think that after 8 years they would get a clue! LOL

I am glad that there is this site where other beard wearers/lovers can meet and communicate. It is nice to know I am not alone in my beard passion if you will

In other news...... I am a college graduate and I have a Masters degree as well. I work for a large home builder in the drafting dept. I have loved houses for almost as long as I have loved beards. I was always drawing them as a child. Now I get paid to do it!! Can
t beat that. I just recently moved into my new home. It was one of our stock plans, but I heavily customized it to suite my taste. It was a bumpy road to get into it as well. At one point I had 2 houses. It was not fun, but luckily the other one sold and i only have the one to worry about now.

My partner and I do travel occasionally. It is difficult at times since I am the one not fond of flying. Maybe one of these days I will work up the nerve to fly overseas...... time will tell
