Favorite authors: Lovecraft and Clive Barker. Other recommended titles: Tales of the Dying Earth (read the middle two books first), The Worm Ouroboros, The Dark Descent, This Perfect Day. P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves series is genius.

J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books only get read once, but they're great fun!

Also enjoy reading about software development. I am interested in UI design and how to make computers more user-friendly! Everyone should also read "Free Software, Free Society", even if they're not ready for Linux yet.
