I like most music. Old country, old rock, new rock, acoustic, coffee house, jazz, classical, indie, R&B,

Play Guitar, just got a piano (learning to play). Studying religion, all religions. Personally, I don't believe but I find the whole concept of religion and belief fascinating. I have also been making video shorts for youtube(strictly amateur). www.youtube.com/solytwd. Check them out.

I guess you could call me a seasonal beard grower. I usually start in late summer/early fall with grande plans on growing a full length (terminal if it doesn't get in the way) beard. Come summertime again and it usually comes off. I can grow the hair on my head without cutting it. I've gone 4 years with nothing but minor trims for maintenance. Right now I'm at 2 years. Why can't I do that with my beard? Here we go again! Maybe with some support from new found bearded friends I will succeed.
Regarding work, I've been driving truck around BC for about 15 years now. It's the perfect job for growing a beard. I think non bearded people half expect it. And my bosses and co-workers don't care either. Although I always get comments like get a shave or haircut. But I always come back with some witty remark such as "I did. I shaved the boys today." Lol. That takes care of that for a week or two.
I am gettin kinda tired of the negative comments though. The references to Charles Manson, to dumpster divers and shopping cart pushers. Why can't people compare us to some of the great bearded men of time. To DaVinci, Darwin, Whitman or Merlin.

Let it grow!

I was once walking through the local mall when a youth with a wispy moustache barked "get a shave!" at me. Without even thinking about it, I stroked my beard and just said "...Jealous?" and kept walking without looking back. I'm not sure what his reaction was, but I heard his friends break up laughing.... ;)

Great beard. Let it grow and keep it growing!

I think your beard looks great at any length! Just keep it shorter in the summer, maybe?
