I'd like to talk about the birth of my beard and the conscious decision not to trim it. I was living in jasper and working out of the maintenance department of the chateau jasper taking care of these 3 hotels and alot of the male employee's were sporting the thin chin straps goatee and i didn't want to go down that road so i grew some crazy muttin chops never thinking it would progress into a beard. A few musicians i knew from one of the hotels i worked at asked me if i wanted to go to quebec with them and i deperately wanted to get the fuck out of that bearless town, so we rented a van and packed are gear and got the fuck out of that town. I told them that when we got to quebec i was going to go on my own and meet up with my old roomate from jasper. I hitchhiked from quebec to St.hyacinthe, this small french village one hour outside of montreal that had this huge ultra-violent underground punk -metal scene with bezirke style mosh pits and all around savage moshing. Anyways i'm getting off-track, i re-unite with the roomate, we celebrate for two-weeks and i catch a ride with another friend to Lac st. jean to see my friend mesko who had this nice three week beard going and i thought, i hate shaving, i really fucking hate shaving, i'll just grow a beard. And by the new year i had grown the second biggest beard in the village, i have to state first place belonged to my mate pat who was crack kills manager, this local band in the area that let me live with them when my roomate moved out of his apartment.
