I have a new love for Opera and the Opera Babes as well as Josh Groban (which I learned in an email joke means I'm gay), Andrea Bocelli won me with Con Te Partiro and continues to do so as well as Sarah Brightman singing it and Charolette Church. Ronan Tynan, the tenor from Ireland, can stop me in my tracks to listen and I'm hearing them all on "My Station" from Yahoo! Launchcast. I started my station with Praful, the Swiss sax man and his infectious "Sigh" and now I can add "April Seven" to my favorites from him. Enya has captivated me since Orinocco Flow. Annie Lennox sang "Why" and hooked me for life. k.d.Lang captured me with "Constant Craving" and one of the few songs I could set to repeat for a lot of repetitions. ABBA got me with "I Have A Dream" and now I like all their songs on the DVD that has the hits here and the one from Japan on the flipside of a hit here and never heard by me until the DVD. I think it's called That's Me and it has the lyric: Are you sure, you really want to know?.... and is so cloying, I loved it in a minute. And then there's Jazz old and new and Classical and Film Scores...I like to love almost all kinds of music except rap crap and hip hop which aren't music to begin with.

World Trade Center is a masterpiece from O. Stone and my motivation to regain my legs someday. Riddick Trilogy was a breath of scifi fresh air
2001:A Space Odyssey unmatched vision of majesty
The Da Vinci Code--love her, love him, love it
Apocalypse Now stunned me in the theater
Soylent Green--perfect "little" scifi movie
Lord of the Rings mesmerized me from the first to the last and I can watch any again and be awed
Too many more for now....

Right now reading "Shantaram" and it's excellent. Just finished re-reading "Canticle For Leibowitz"
Also re-read John Varley's "Steel Beach" for pure imagination and writing skill that's the book. A quick read was Bob Newhart's "I Shouldn't Even Be Doing This" which amused me with the classic routines, word for word.

Used to be photography, stereo/quad/Dolby Surround/DD 5.1/DTS--my obsession, my passion, been there, done that, very little escaped my attention, loving care and lots of hours of listening, watching, tweaking (not drugs), adjusting, fine tuning, continual attention to detail.

I'm in a wheelchair in a nursing home. I can't interact with any gay friends except online and browsing sites with my favorite things, like beards, is my only outlet. Since nothing below my waist works anymore I can only fantasize about what I see and for now that has to be enough. I was a teacher for Special Ed/Speech & Hearing until the Army added electronics to my vocabulary and I taught missile systems at Redstone Arsenal (USAMMCS that means United States Army Missile & Munitions Center & School)-- had to say that plus my brigade, company and my name SIR, every time I answered the phone on CQ. Returned to the work force completely outdated for Special Ed and stayed in electronics at Heath Technology Labs. in Omaha NE, then a car crash changed my life. It isn't a straight line from there to here, but not much to say about the years between.
