Music is my passion.

Contemporary/experimental classical (Faun Fables, Kronos Quartet, for example)--- 'cause it keeps me on my toes and interested; any interesting folk (In Gowan Ring, Birch Book, Carissa's Wierd, Will Johnson); "strange" music from distant lands, especially "gypsy" or the types that get thrown in the "world" music section of music stores; scottish/irish music; good pop /rock (The Cure, The Killers, Counting Crows, etc); a lot of other stuff... I definitely tend to lean more toward the dark or melancholy stuff.

Sometimes. (Seems like I go through fazes of overindulgence... watching nearly every night... or relative abstinence.)

I love to read. Depends on my mood and on my interests (at the moment I pick it up). Generally speaking, non-fiction is what I'm into. When it comes to fiction I usually take to the "classics" before anything else.

gardening, creating, conversation with interesting people, spending time with my wife and our 5 year old son, hiking, camping, buying used (and inexpensive) musical instruments, learning to play various instruments (violin, banjo, native american flute, etc), reading, etc.

Lately, I've been getting excited about biking and buses. I like the feeling of freedom (and oneness with my city) I get from being out of "the box". (For most people it's just box to box to box to box most days. I get claustrophobic.)

I like to play music. I write and record original music under the name, QstandsforQ. I'm hoping to take it on the road sometimes soon. (Can't wait to travel and play throughout Europe... or even just any particular place for a little while and then going home. Doesn't have to be for months in a row.)

I have been obsessed with facial hair since I can remember. Drawing faces with variations of styles is a constant source of entertainment.

I'm growing my (full) beard out now. I think it's been a month and a half or so. Previously, the longest I let it get was about 3 months worth, I think. This time I'd like to let it go for at least 6. Here's to hoping all of you continue to be as inspirational to me as you've been thus far. (You all have such beautiful manes.)
